METHOD FOR REMOVING SCUM IN FERMENTATION TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing scum generated in a fermentation tank by using an apparatus excellent in maintenance. SOLUTION: Compressed gas is ejected from an ejecting pipe 14 disposed on the fermentation tank 1 into liquid, bubbles 19 formed thereby float on a liquid surface 2. The bubbles 19 elevate the liquid surface 2 in the form of eruption and spread the same in the horizontal direction and, therefore, the scum 3 is broken to pieces and the pieces of the scum are dispersed. The dispersed pieces of the scum 3 are discharged and removed together with released liquid from an overflow piping 5.
