STRINGED INSTRUMENT BODY AND NECK ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body and neck assembly improved to provide a robust musical instrument which is required to have the least possible structural strength. SOLUTION: The acoustic stringed instrument has the body 12 provided with a top member 16 having a nearly flat front segment. The body 12 has a back member 14 which is provided with an upper part, lower part and side wall surfaces 30 and has side walls nearly perpendicular to the front segment of a top member 16. The neck member 32 of the musical instrument has a slender upper segment extending upward from the upper part of the side wall of the body. The neck member 32 has also a slender lower segment 46 which extends between the upper part and lower part of the side wall by passing the inside of the body 12 and is arranged apart a spacing backward from the front segment of the top member 16. The slender lower neck part has an upper mounting means 48 fixed to the inner side wall surface 30 in the upper part of the side wall of the body and a lower mounting means 50 fixed to the inner side wall surface 30 in the lower part of the side wall of the body.
