WINDOW STAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window stay capable of preventing the fall of a child making a screen fully openable, simplifying setting work and eliminating an excessive space at a low cost. SOLUTION: The window stay includes a base 1 mounted to a window frame, a slider 2 mounted to the base 1 in a slidable manner in front and behind within a specific range, a first arm 4 connected to the slider 2 in a rotatable manner, a ventilator mounting plate 6 connected to the first arm 4 in a rotatable manner and a second arm 9 connecting both ends to the base 1 and ventilator mounting plate 6 in a rotatable manner. A guide section contacting a part of the slider 2 is provided to the base 1, and a stop means constituted of a stopper 51 advancing the base 1 side from the contact surface with the guide section of the base 1, at the same time, mounted in a movable manner so as to leave from the contact surface, a spring 52 energizing the stopper 51 to the base 1 side and a recess 53 formed in a part between a forward position and a backward position of the slider 2 in the guide section of the base 1 and fitting a part of the stopper 51 thereinto is formed in the slider 2.
