PACKAGING DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device made of a pulp mold using old corrugated cardboard suitable for packaging a heavy item and its production method. SOLUTION: This packaging device is made of a wet type pulp mold using mostly old corrugated cardboard mixed with a thermoplastic fiber. On the outer peripheral part of a product holding part 22 for holding a product, a higher gravity part 25 whose gravity is higher than that of the holding part is provided, and on the inside of the part 25, a lower gravity part 26 whose gravity is lower than that of the holding part is provided. In producing the device, two processes are provided, i.e., a first process where a pulp mold is formed by a wet suction molding method using mainly old corrugated cardboard mixed with a thermoplastic fiber and is dried, and a second process for pressurizing and molding so that parts with different gravity are created while the pulp mold is heated.
