ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply making an electrical connector, having a terminal formed by bending a pin-like member by integrally molding it with the terminal of a housing, and to provide the connector. SOLUTION: This connector is equipped with a gate-like frame die 30 having front, rear and lower openings, a front die 40 and a rear die 50 to be inserted into the frame die 30 from the front and the rear respectively, and a lower die 60 to be inserted into the frame die from the lower part through the lower opening. A groove 43 for storing a flexible part 21 and an intermediate part 23 in an area corresponding to the flexible part are formed in the front die, and the rear die has a combteeth-like part 52 turning toward the frame die and entering between the flexible part and the intermediate part of each terminal to make surface contact with the both parts, and the lower die has a surface for supporting the intermediate part of the terminal outside the area on the upper surface 62A. The housing is molded by injecting resin into a sealed space formed by these dies, to hold the terminal.
