Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain CuCl usable in direct synthesis of an organochlorosilane as an effective catalyst recycled from a copper-containing residue of the direct synthesis of the organochlorosilane by a simple method in high yield. SOLUTION: The copper from an aqueous suspension of the copper-containing residue is oxidized by a mineral acid and an oxidant to CuCl2 in the first step for producing CuCl to provide a CuCl2 aqueous solution in which the mineral acid or the oxidant, or the mineral acid and the oxidant contain chlorine, and the resultant CuCl2 aqueous solution is reduced by an elemental iron to CuCl in the second step. |
