PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct printing area dimensions, which change momentarily due to physical and chemical change factors in an output stage. SOLUTION: A printing area dimension correcting system consists of a printing area dimension setting means S0 for arbitrarily setting printing area dimensions, a printing area dimension measuring means S1 for measuring the printing area dimensions of an object of measurement, a printing area dimension correcting means S3, which calculates the differences between the set original printing area dimensions and the measured values of measured printing area dimensions so as to output corrected printing area dimensions, which are corrected by the calculated differences, a storage means S4, a printing area forming and editing means S2, which plots a plurality of printing area elements different from one another by utilizing set printing area dimensional values W, measured printing area dimensional values d1 or corrected printing area dimensional values W' and a fundamental curve so as to form printing area data of arbitrary printing area dimensions by synthesizing and editing the printing area elements, an outputting means S5 for outputting the printing area with arbitrary dimensions on the basis of the formed printing area data and an information communication means, which connects respective means S0 to S5 with one another so as to execute the sending and receiving of information.
