Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably supplying a metallic coating film excellent in feeling of transparency and depth in color by clearly defining an analytical procedure for the characteristics from the view point of film design which are conventionally evaluated only by human senses. SOLUTION: In the metallic film comprised of a metallic base coat and a clear coat formed thereon, the metallic film is excellent in the feeling of transparency and depth characterized in that the L* value of the film measured by using a colorimeter of which the light incident angle from the light source is 45 degree has the minimum value at the angle position of -75 degree or less from the regular reflection to the incident light from the light source.
