Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for a charge transfer layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor and an electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by using the coating liquid, such that the liquid will not cause whitening under a wide range of coating conditions when an electrophotographic photoreceptor is manufactured, that the obtained electrophotographic characteristics are equal to or higher than the characteristics obtained by using a conventional halogen-based solvent, and that the photoreceptor is superior in potential characteristics, durability, image characteristics and resolution under a wide range of usage conditions, starting from the initial stage of image formation over a long-term use. SOLUTION: In the coating liquid for forming a charge transfer layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor, having a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer in this order on a conductive support body, the solvent of the coating liquid contains ethylene glycol dimethyl ether and aromatic hydrocarbons (except for benzene), and the electrophotographic photoreceptor is manufactured by using the coating liquid.
