Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive cooling device capable of contriving to extend the life of a Peltier element even in the case of using it. SOLUTION: By energizing a Peltier element provided in a device body 1, the inside is cooled down. In this case, the ambient atmosphere temperature of the device body 1 is detected by an atmosphere temperature detecting means. A controlling means changes the control electric current applied to the Peltier element on the basis of the atmosphere temperature detected by the atmosphere temperature detecting means. Then, the degree of change in the control electric current is made different in the case when the atmosphere temperature is higher and lower than the set temperature.
