PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earphone used for a portable audio unit or the like that prevents electric cords of the earphone from being entangled in a housed state or the like. SOLUTION: One end of an electric cord 3 is branched into two via a tightening member 7, and earphone units 5A, 5B are fitted to tips of branch parts 32A, 32B. The tightening member 7 acts especially like a code fixed part to fix an optional part of the electric cord 3 and a groove 8 to clamp an optional part of the electric cord 3 is formed to the cord fixed part. When the earphone is not is use, e.g. the branches 32A, 32B of the electric cord 3 are clamped to the groove 8 and the earphone 2 while it is connected to a portable audio unit 1 in this state is contained in a pouch or the like. Thus, the electric cord 3 is not complicatedly tangled in the contained state and when the earphone is in use, the branches 32A, 32B are removed from the groove 8 and the earphone units 5A, 5B can immediately be worn to born ears.
