PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device which is made suitable for 'music thereapy'. SOLUTION: The karaoke device is provided with a music generating means which processes proper music generation data based on the music ID inputted by a user and outputs karaoke accompaniment music to a loudspeaker and a lyrics extracting means which processes proper lyrics extracting data based on the music ID, generates lyrics images synchronized to the accompaniment music and outputs the images to a display. The lyrics extracting means selects lyrics extracting data, in which a proper recommended character size value is set based on the specified character size value inputted by the user, as a processing object. When the recommended character size value corresponding to the specified value is set in the lyrics extracting data, the lyrics extracting means generates the lyrics images with the character size in accordance with the specified value. When no recommended character size value is set, the lyrics images are generated with a prescribed character size.
