Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-capillary type DNA base sequence determination device having a highly sensitive fluorescent detection system having excellent band separability. SOLUTION: This DNA base sequence determination device comprises a gel electrophorestic means having a migration route for a fluorescence-labeled DNA fragment, a laser beam source for photo excitation for irradiating the migration route with a laser beam, and a fluorescence detection means for detecting fluorescence generated from the fluorescence-labeled DNA fragment irradiated with the laser beam, and converting the fluorescence into an electric signal. The determination device is characterized by forming the gel electrophorestic means by bundling and lining plural rectangular capillaries having the rectangular whole section, the section having a rectangular hollow part, and gel electrolyte filled in the hollow part.
