Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a transmission equipped with a torque transmitting member, an operation mechanism and a parking mechanism. SOLUTION: This transmission is provided with the torque transmitting members 36 and 37 transmitting torque to a wheel; the operation mechanism 46 operating for controlling the torque transmitted to the wheel; the parking mechanism preventing rotation of the torque transmitting member 37; and a case 5 storing the torque transmitting members 36 and 37, the operation mechanism 46 and the parking mechanism. A cutout part 87 is provided in a part of the case 5 corresponding to a predetermined range including an operating area of the operation mechanism 46.
