Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron radiating cathode which is appropriate for being used for an Auger electron spectroscope, etc., and keeps a low rate of the total radiating current in spite of its operation at a high-angle current density. SOLUTION: The electron radiating cathode specifies that the total radiating current is 350 μA or less when this is operated at a 1.0 mA/sr angle current density in the case where the single crystal needle of tungsten or molybdenum is provided with a coating layer of hafnium and oxygen. Concretely, the curvature radius at the edge of the single crystal needle is 0.8 to 2.0 μm. |
