Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing method being excellent in energy efficiency when a smell contained in exhaust gas from a process for drying solid waste is deodorized through combustion. SOLUTION: A solid waste drying system comprises a drying process to dry solid waste, a discriminating process to separate obtained dry refuse and non-dried refuse from each other by specific gravity, a non-dried refuse circulation process wherein separated non-dried refuse is crushed and returned to the refuse charge hopper of a drier, and a deodorizing process wherein exhaust gas flowing out from the drying process is deodorized through combustion. The heat of deodorization-treated gas flowing out from the deodorizing process is recovered by a rotary heat storage type heat exchanger incorporating a heat-exchange medium. A ceramic spherical substance is preferably used as the heat storage substance of the rotary heat storage type heat exchanger.
