STAVE COOLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stave cooler whose weight and cost can be reduced and work efficiency for installation, etc., is improved in which a plurality of cooling water passages are embedded into a metallic plate made of copper, steel, etc., and recessed grooves are formed between these passages, and to improve the cooling capacity by thinning the thickness. SOLUTION: In the stave cooler for cooling the side wall of a blast furnace body by attaching the stave cooler to the side wall of the blast furnace body, a plurality of lines of the cooling water passages for passing through the cooling water into the stave body are embedded and a plurality of lines of the recessed grooves are disposed parallel to these cooling water passages between these cooling water passages on the side surface of the stave cooler at the outside of the furnace. The side surface of this stave cooler at the outside of the furnace is formed in the projecting and the recessing shapes and further, if necessary, pressing-reduction is applied to these projecting parts to form the cooling water passages into an oval shape.
