SOLUTION: A compound represented by general formula [1] [wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are same or different and each a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R4 is a carboxylic acid, or an ester or an amide thereof; m is 0 or 1; and n is 1 or 2] or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof is useful as a therapeutic agent of cataract and ischemic heart disease caused by oxidative stress because the compound is excellent in antioxidative activities.
