PAPER SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device capable of decreasing the modulus of exclusion of paper sheets by an impeller. SOLUTION: The paper sheet processing device has a decelerating device to effect deceleration so as to stack inspected paper sheets by a stacking device. The decelerating device has an impeller 12 rotating in a state that paper sheets conveyed through a stacking conveying passage 9 are received between a plurality of adjoining blades 11. A plurality of receiving openings 13 is provided between tips 11a of the blades 11 extending to its outer peripheral surface 12a and the receiving openings 13 are positioned, in order, opposite to the stacking conveying passage 9 through rotation. At a timing at which the receiving opening 13 is positioned opposite to the stacking conveying passage 9, the rotation speed of the impeller 12 is decreased and the apparent width of each receiving opening 13 is increased.
