Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional regulating device for a carrying object capable of precisely regulating (correcting) the direction of a container in a constant direction even in the high-speed inspection of the container. SOLUTION: A stop ring 6 integrally rotatable with a shaft 4 for rotating a support base 2 for supporting the container 3 having a noncircular sectional shape is fixed to the shaft 4, and balls A and B capable of protruding to the stop ring 6 side are housed in a sleeve shaft 12 fixed to the shaft 4. A recessed part 6a to be fitted to the ball A protruded from the shelve shaft 12 is formed in the stop ring 6. This device further comprises a clutch sleeve 31 for pressing the balls A and B to the stop ring 6 side and fitting them to the recessed part 6a of the stop ring 6.
