PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain desired management information with an easy operation. SOLUTION: In a network, where a plurality of routers provided with interfaces IF11 to IF33 for input-output are mutually connected and many terminal devices T11 to T34 are connected via hubs H10 to H30, software for management is included in one terminal device T21. A management information collecting part A automatically and repeatedly collets management information, such as traffic, the error occurrence rate and the CPU load of each interface at a fixed interval and preserves the management information as a database in a management information preserving part B. A management information displaying part C reads the management information stored in the database, on the basis of an instruction of a manager and displays the management information in a prescribed display form designated by the manager.
