DEVICE FOR PLEATING SKIRT PORTION OF CURTAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can form pleats having wave-like cross- sections in the skirt portion of a sewed curtain having sewed pleats in the top portion with labor-saved works from the setting of pleating positions to the pleating. SOLUTION: This device for pleating in the skirt portion of the curtain, characterized by flatly extending the skirt portion of the curtain A, fixing and holding the pleating sites of the curtain to many iron-receivers arranged on a rail A at an equal distance with curtain skirt portion-stopping means 21, 22, 23 disposed on the iron receivers 2, gathering the iron receivers 2 and the curtain with a pantograph 5 for connecting the many iron receivers 2 to each other, pressing the same number of separately disposed iron heads 7 as that of the iron receivers 2 to the skirt portion of the curtain A in one operation, and then jetting superheated steam to form the pleats having desired wave- like cross sections.
