Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cholesteric liquid crystal composition which can be patterned and fixed by irradiation with light and can form the selective reflecting images that are highly sharp without color drifting, and to provide a cholesteric liquid crystal color filter which has the prescribed selective reflection color of high sharpness and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The objective cholesteric liquid crystal composition comprises at least one of liquid crystal and polymerized monomer, photo-reactive chiral compound, polymerization initiator, and pigment respectively, where the wavelength of the absorption peak of this pigment is characteristically between the wavelength of the photosensitive peak of the photo-reactive chiral compound and the wavelength of the photosensitive peak of the polymerization initiator. In a preferred embodiment, the wavelength of the absorption peak of the pigment is in the range of 300-400. The objective cholesteric liquid crystal composition is characteristically produced by exposing the liquid crystal composition to the first beam in an image followed by polymerization and curing with the second beam. |
