Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a foamable sheet, simple in operation, capable of reducing material cost and capable of obtaining a product excellent in recyclability. SOLUTION: A shaping mold 1 or belt 4 is pressed to at least the single surface of a foamable sheet 3 comprising a thermoplastic resin composition containing a foaming agent. A large number of ridges 2 or continuous ridges 2 are provided on the pressing surface of the shaping mold or belt and the shaping mold or belt is pressed to the surface of the foamble sheet to thrust the ridges in the sheet. The foamable sheet is heated and foamed in such a state that the expansion in the in-plane direction of the surface in which the ridges are thrust of the sheet is suppressed.
