Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing marine products, which comprises controlling nutritive salts contained in sea and by which the control of the ecosystem of the sea, the improvement of productivity and the recovery of a polluted sea area can be devised, and to provide a device therefor. SOLUTION: When bottom mud 10 having sludge and so on accumulated thereon is covered with covering sand 11, an alkali metal silicate, sodium silicate, is added to the covering sand in such an amount that the balance of silicon eluted from the covering sand 11 and nitrogen eluted from the sludge bottom is represented by the inequality: silicon(Si)/nitrogen(N)>1.
