Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an indentation of a reader block from being caused on a data storage tape. SOLUTION: A leader block assembly used for a data storage tape cartridge has a rectangular shape body including opposite side faces, a front end, a rear end terminated at an end face, and a first and a second lug parts. The lug parts are formed in the rear end and extended in the radial direction to the side face along the portion of the side of the width of the rear end and when being inserted in a take-up reel, these prevent the end faces from sliding in the longitudinal direction.
