Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion anchor enabling rapid and positive positioning of a screw rod and manufacturable at a low cost. SOLUTION: This expansion anchor is provided with an internal screw 8 serving as a load fitting means, in a front area 3 with respect to a center hole 2 of an anchor body 1, and a collar 6 in a rear area 4. The area 4 is larger in outer diameter than the area 3, and an expansion sleeve 7 is provided with a cylindrical inner diameter and an outer diameter at least partly contracted, viewed in a setting direction S. The area 3 facing the setting direction S of the anchor body 1 is provided with a fragile part of material acting as a rotating part adjacently with a distance (a) on the opposite side to the setting direction S of the internal screw 8. The area 3 is also provided with at least two longitudinal slits 9. These longitudinal slits 9 are opened in the setting direction S and extended at least to the area of the fragile part of the material.
