IMAGE-FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device which improves the work efficiency by recognizing the total number of pages written in the outside of an image area of a document and calculating and displaying the time required for image formation, according to the recognized total number of pages, an image-forming output condition, and an image-forming mode. SOLUTION: The image-forming device is provided with a character recognition means and an image-processing control part are provided. The character recognition means recognize characters which represent the total number of pages written in the outside of the image area of the document fed by an automatic document feeding means. The image-processing control part calculates the time required for image-forming processing, on the basis of the total number of paged recognized by the character recognition means, the image-forming output condition inputted by an input means, and the image-forming mode set by a mode-setting means and displaying the calculated required time on a display part. Thus, a user improve work efficiency because being able to confirm the required time.
