Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method having high safety to a human body and the environment, capable of washing dirt out with a small amount of washing water, and having high washing effects when washing a gelatinized hydrocarbon, a Vaseline and a preparation using them as a base out, and further having removal capacity of a slightly soluble component besides them. SOLUTION: The target material to be washed out, selected from the gelatinized hydrocarbon and the Vaseline as the oily base, the medicinal or cosmetic preparation using them as the base, is washed out with propylene glycol or an aqueous propylene glycol solution. Preferably, the washing is. carried out under stirring and mixing, more preferably under heating, stirring and mixing.
