Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment which can provide a natural finish without losing bare skin appearances and transparent appearances while exhibiting covering power against color irregularity such as stains, freckles, and the like, when incorporated into a cosmetic and to provide a cosmetic. SOLUTION: The composite pigment comprises a bismuth compound and iron oxide covering the surface thereof. Suitably, iron oxide comprises red oxide or yellow oxide and accounts for 0.1-5 wt.% of the composite pigment. The bismuth compound is suitably plate-like bismuth oxychloride or plate-like bismuth oxide having an average particle size of 1-30 μm and an aspect ratio of 3-60. The suitable amount of the composite pigment incorporated into the cosmetic is 0.1-50 wt.%.
