Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording sheet which is excellent in water resistance and can obtain an image high in coloring density. SOLUTION: An ink accepting layer contains a urethane resin as a main component and amorphous synthetic silica particles the surfaces of which are modified with a silane coupling agent. Preferably, the contact angle with water of the urethane resin is 50-90 deg., and the resin contains 30-60 vol.% of the silica particles. In addition, the average particle size of the silica particles is preferably 1-20 μm.
