SOLUTION: A position management server unit 2 detects base station placed closest to a present position of the portable terminal 4 and a mail server unit 3 provides served information decided, depending on the detected base station to the portable terminal 4 in the form of an electronic mail. Thus, server unit 2 can passively provide information to the portable terminal 4, depending on its mobile position.
