SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device for making flickers inconspicuous by randomly reading output signals from each pixel respectively in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. SOLUTION: The pixels provided inside a sensor part 1 are randomly selected in a control part 2 and the output signals outputted from the pixels selected in such a manner are stored in a memory 3. Then, when the output signals from all the pixels provided in the sensor part 1 are stored in the memory 3, the output order of the output signals is replaced by an output changeover part 4 and they are outputted to a signal processing part 20 as the output signals respectively outputted in an order in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction.
