COMPLEX ELECTRODE AND LITHIUM BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex electrode that enables to obtain a good charge and discharge cycle characteristics without impairing the features of high capacity of unit sulfur. SOLUTION: The complex electrode is comprised of a metal substrate and an electrode composition layer which is supported by the metal substrate and contains an organic sulfuric compound having thiol radical or thiolate radical, a conductive polymer and at least one of sulfur and lithium contained sulfur. The electrode composition layer is composed of a first layer formed by contacting the substrate and a second layer formed by contacting the first layer but without coming into contact with the substrate, and the first layer does not contain sulfur or lithium contained sulfur and the second layer contains at least one of sulfur and lithium contained sulfur.
