Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to pipe joints of various types of inside diameters without being affected by the dimension of a rubber band. SOLUTION: The rubber band Q is received by a support rod 25 while a presser rod 27 and a restoring rod 28 are made to pass through the rubber band Q with their clamped by the rubber band (Figure (a)). The presser rod 27 and the restoring rod 28 are lowered to shape the rubber band Q into a heart shape and inserted into a collar (pipe joint) C with their shaped into the heart shape (Figure (b)). When the both rods 27 and 28 are raised, the rubber band Q is restored into a circular shape by its elastic force and if the both rods 27 and 28 are drawn out on the way to the restoration, the rubber Q is laid tightly along the inside face of the collar C as shown in a chain line of Figure (c). Then, adhesive is applied to the inside face of the collar C and smooth the inside face whole circumference of the rubber band Q and a roller is rolled so that the rubber band Q is stuck and fixed to the inside face of the collar C.
