SOLUTION: The device and method is for electrostatically coating the non- conductive article, particularly a non-conductive vessel and bottle and has an electrostatic dispenser arranged particularly one side of the article and an electrode existing in the article side facing the coating dispenser and having a different potential from the potential of the coating dispenser and the electrode preferably has plural separated conductive projecting parts extending therefrom and arranged, for example, in an opening part of the non-conductive vessel.
