Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight for color liquid crystal display device where no color unevenness is generated, even if a red (R) light source is formed by using a cold-cathode tube. SOLUTION: A mixture of colors, formed by mixing a red color with the other color, is prevented more surely, even if the red (R) light source is formed by using the cold cathode tube, since lighting-off timing of the red (R) light source is set earlier, taking into consideration afterglow of the red beforehand.
