FLUORESCENT DISPLAY OF METER FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display in clear colors in a bright place and improve a display luminance in a dark place. SOLUTION: This fluorescent display for fluorescent displaying dials 21, 31 and 41 or pointers 22, 32 and 42 of a meter for an automobile is provided with a substrate 101, a white layer as a first layer 111 formed on the substrate 101 and a fluorescent layer as a second layer 112 formed on the white layer of the substrate 101. In the bright place during the daytime or the like, the fluorescent layer scatters and radiates a light of normal colors (non-fluorescent color) specific to the fluorescent layer by a visible light, and part of the light directly emits from a front face of the fluorescent layer. At the same time, the other part of the light proceeds toward the white layer at the side of a rear face of the fluorescent layer, is reflected, and is emitted form the font face of the fluorescent layer. In other words, light advancing to the rear face of the fluorescent layer is radiated from the front face of the fluorescent layer, without being absorbed to the substrate.
