DEVICE FOR EXCHANGING GUIDE ROLL SEGMENT IN CONTINUOUS CASTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchanging device for guide roll segment in a continuous caster, having the simple facility, low in facility cost and easily operated. SOLUTION: In the continuous caster having many guide roll segments 10 curvedly disposed at the lower part of a mold (m) and with guide rings 12 fitted to both side surfaces, this exchanging device is composed of a hanging tool 20 hung down with an overhead crane C and connected with plural flexible links 21 and having guide rings 22 fitted to the both side surfaces, one piece of swing guide 30 constituted of a pair of rails 31 at the right and the left parts for guiding guide rings 11 and the guide rings 22 and a fixed guide 40 constituted of a pair of rails 41 at the right and the left parts for guiding the guide rings 12 and the guide rings 22 and extended toward the curving center A of a strand. The swing guide 30 is freely swung with the curving center A of the strand as the center of swinging at the upper end, and the fixed guide 40 has the length to a swing locus at the lower end of the swing guide 30.
