Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electric double layer capaci tor of a structure that the combination size of the capacitor is stable and the capacitor is superior in sealing. SOLUTION: An electric double layer capacitor is manufactured by a method, where a cathode electrode 24 and an anode electrode 22 are pinched between a sealing plate 23 and a case 21 via a separator 25 in a space 38, wherein a sealing plate holding jig 31 is formed of a combination jig 32 inserted with an insertion hole 37 and a case holding jig 33, while an exhaust using a vacuum suction is performed through a vacuum suction hole 35 and the electrodes 24 and 22 are sealed with the sealing plate 23 and the case 21 with a sealing compound 27 via a gasket 26.
