Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body assembling method and a car body assembling line capable of shortening a main line and capable of improving productivity. SOLUTION: This car body assembling line has the main line 1 for installing a main part in common between different car bodies 2 and a main part capable of absorbing an installing manhour deviation generated by a difference in a machine model and a sub-line for installing a main part and a sub-part unable to absorb the installing manhour deviation generated by a difference in the machine model, and the sub-line is provided with a sub-main line 3 connected to the main line for installing a sub-part synchronizable with the main line, an asynchronous part manufacturing area 4 for assembling a sub-part unsynchronizable with the main line 1 and the main part unable to absorb the installing manhour deviation generated by a difference in the machine kind and a storage area 5 for stocking the sub-part assembled in the asynchronous part manufacturing area 4 and the main part unable to absorb the installing manhour deviation generated by a difference in the machine model.
