SOIL DEODORIZING APPARATUS AND SOIL DEODORIZING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil deodorizing apparatus for nitrogen compound gas capable of easily and certainly holding soil to a wet state without using a complicated mechanism or new power, low in running cost and usable over a long period of time and a method for nitrating and denitrifying the nitrogen compound gas. SOLUTION: A soil bed, a microorganism carrier bed and an air passing bed laminated successively from above are provided, and a gas introducing passage for introducing exhaust gas containing the nitrogen compound gas into the air passing bed and a gas discharge port for discharging treated gas from the upper part of the soil bed are provided. The microorganism carrier bed is constituted of a porous carrier constituting a bacteria bed of ammonia oxidizing bacteria and nitric acid oxidizing bacteria, and the soil bed is constituted of soil constituting a bacteria bed of denitrifying bacteria and the gaps in the soil bed are narrower than the gaps in the porous carrier of the microorganism carrier bed to restrict the passage of the exhaust gas.
