METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical recording medium having excellent characteristics for repeated use. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing an optical recording medium by forming a multilayered film containing at least a protective layer, recording layer and reflection layer by sputtering, the pressure of the film forming gas during forming the recording layer is equal to or lower than the pressure of the film forming gas during forming other layers than the recording layer. The pressure of the film forming gas for at least one layer of layer except for the recording layer is higher than the pressure of the film forming gas during forming the recording layer.
