Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic commerce system by which settlement is instantaneously performed through the use of a money card. SOLUTION: A settlement processing is instantaneously performed through a line between the terminals 21 of a plurality of stores 13-16 selling various kinds of merchandises and an operation center or a processing center 11 for performing a settlement data processing or various kinds of data summing-up services, etc., in the electronic commerce system 10. A card reader 22 is connected to the terminals 21, data of the money card 23 owned by a user is read by the card reader 22 and transmitted to the operation center or the processing center and, then, settlement is instantaneously performed.
