Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container measuring instrument capable of accurately calculating the axial line of a container to obtain an accurate measuring result and improving reliability. SOLUTION: The container measuring instrument is equipped with a centering mechanism 30, which is constituted of a support means 10 having a bottom receiving recessed conical surface 14a receiving the bottom part of a can body 1A opened downward from the inside and corresponding to the recessed shape of the bottom part of the can body 1A and a pressure means 20 having a press plate 26 for pressing the bottom part of the can body 1A toward the bottom receiving surface 14a from above, and a measuring machine 40 provided so as to be possible to advance to and retreat from the center of the press plate 26 and having the first measuring element 41 coming into contact with the upper surface of the bottom part of the can body 1A and calculating the protruding quantity of the first measuring element 41 from the undersurface of the press plate 26.
