Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a time in which combustion heat of an auxiliary fuel put into a preheating tank of scrap is utilized for preheating the scrap and increase a gain of a preheating effect. SOLUTION: Exhaust gas discharged from a melting furnace of raw materials including scrap or the like is introduced into the preheating tank filled with the raw materials and waste plastics of the auxiliary fuel. An exhaust gas temperature is measured at proximity to the waste plastics. When the exhaust gas temperature is below an ignition temperature of the waste plastics, a burner provided on a side of an inlet for introducing gas in the preheating tank is operated to ignite and preheat the waste plastics.
