SOLUTION: In this wooden rod-like member fixing structure, the wooden rod-like member 1 is disposed between a pair of connection fittings 2 installed at a space between them, and the end of the wooden rod-like member 1 and the connection fitting 2 are connected by a connecting bolt 4. In this structure, a butt end metal plate S1 is disposed to cover the whole area of the end face of the wooden rod-like member 1 or the substantially whole area thereof, and a gap adjusting metal spacer S2 is disposed between the butt end metal plate S1 and the connection fitting 2.
