CONTROL METHOD DURING STOPPING OF CASTING IN CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method during stopping of casting in a continuous casting machine to efficiently restart the casting by reducing the bulging quantity caused by the static pressure of a molten steel generated when stopping the casting and reducing the drawing resistance of a slab. SOLUTION: This control method during stopping of the casting in the continuous casting machine repeats a process that the slab 7 is advanced in the drawing direction by a predetermined distance by rotating a pinch roller 6A when the casting process is stopped, and the slab 7 is retracted by the predetermined distance by rotating the pinch roller 6A in the direction opposite to the advancing direction in a continuous casting method to continuously draw the slab 7.
