Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mulching material capable of contributing to the improvement of fertility, hardly causing deficiency of nitrogen for crops and problems of pollution, and extremely easy in scattering operation on soil, and further to provide a suitable method for producing the mulching material, and a mulching method utilizing the mulching material. SOLUTION: This mulching material 1 comprising a mixture of pieces 2 of paper, water 6 and a carbide 3, and having fluidity is newly provided, and further the materials to be selected as the pieces 2 of the paper and the carbide 3, the method for producing the mulching material 1 to be adopted, and the mulching method utilizing the mulching material 1 in addition to the suitable formulating ratio of the mulching material are also provided.
