FLAT SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND POWER CONVERTER USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat semiconductor device which can simplify the treatment of gate signal wiring, storing a plurality of semiconductor chips in high density with positioning accuracy, and a large-capacity power converter using it. SOLUTION: This flat semiconductor device is given a function of deciding en block the positions, within a package, of a plurality of semiconductor chips mounted and or a plurality of middle electrodes arranged in the semiconductor chips, by constituting control signal wiring, which is provided within itself so as to transmit the control signal from outside a package to each chip, of a component which is molded integrally with insulating material 23, and providing this component with insulating member projections 12 and providing its interior with extraction electrodes, and further this stores control signal wiring parts shown in the figure within the common electrodes of the package, and connects the control electrode and the lead electrode of each semiconductor chip to them.
